SANHS: In the Steps of and Egyptian wab Priest Horemkhnesi, May he live Forever – Talk by David Dawson

February 28 @ 14:00 - 16:00

Horemkhenesi, May He Live Forever, lived around 1070BC during the 20th and 21st dynasties. The opportunity to explore the life of someone who lived some 300 years ago very rarely arises in archaeology. The Horemkhenesi mummy was systematically unwrapped in 1981 as part of the “Bristol Mummy Project” to learn more about the individual and about ancient Egyptian mummification techniques. David Dawson will talk about the discoveries.

The Wyndham Hall is situated by the glass bridge next to the Museum of Somerset.

This is a free event. Donations  ( suggested £5 or more) can be made via rthe SANHS  events donations webpage https://sanhs.org/donate-here/
