Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society
The Society exists to promote the study of archaeology, natural history, local history and historic buildings with particular reference to the historic County of Somerset, and is an important point of contact for anyone with an interest in understanding and protecting the heritage of Somerset.
The Society administers several funds for grants towards research and to improve public access to the history, archaeology and natural sciences of the historic County of Somerset. More information about SANHS grants can be found here.
The charitable activities of the Society are funded by membership, rental income, and fundraising from events, donations, bequests and legacies. Please consider donating to the Society to help maintain the collections and properties for the interest and use of future generations.
